Savannah, the sultry gem of the Old South is an experience that will stay with you forever.  A walking city beloved for its enchanted squares with moss-draped trees, romantic Savannah always seems to hit a cord in the heartstrings of every visitor.
The one-mile square historic district is like a world unto itself.  Take the time to stroll along brick and cobblestone sidewalks that wind past historic houses with secret gardens. Discover fine shops and galleries, awe-inspiring churches, fascinating museums and fabulous restaurants.
Make time for a trip to "Savannah's Beach," Tybee Island. A mere 18 miles from downtown, Tybee has a distinctively laid-back character where dolphins play off the breakers, treasure hunters look for shells and families enjoy miles of white sand beaches.
Being a local myself, I've always felt Savannah coexists well with the new because its residents have a deep respect for its history and culture. The people are a vital part of the experience. The pace is slower than other cities its size, but that is part of the charm. It casts a warm spell on visitors, one that keeps them coming back.
